A Cookie, also known as Biscuit in most parts of the world, is a small round shaped, flat cake. Cookies can either be baked until crisp or just long enough that they remain soft. You mat also come across some cookies that are not baked at all.

Cookies are made in a variety of styles coupled with an array of other ingredients like sugars, chocolates, nuts, butter and various syrups. Here is a rich list of some Maple Cookie Recipes.

Maple Syrup Cookies:

Mix flour, baking powder, soda, butter, salt, eggs and maple syrup and add it to ½ cup boiling water. Stir in dates and nuts. Chill for one hour or keep overnight. Drop on cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. For frosting, mix butter, cream, maple syrup sugar and vanilla and spread on cookie.

Oatmeal Maple Cookies:

Beat together butter, sugar, syrup and egg until smooth. Add oats, flour, soda and cinnamon and mix well. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto greased cookie sheet. Bake for 11-13 minutes at 350 degrees on upper oven rack and make into cookies.

Maple Leaf Cookies:

Mix butter, brown sugar, eggs, baking soda, salt, cream, flour and maple flavoring. Do not over bake. Roll out the mixture and cut with a maple leaf cookie cutter. For frosting, beat well a mixture of egg white, vanilla, flour and powdered sugar and add ¾ c. marshmallow cream.

Maple Ginger Cookies:


Sift dry a mixture of maple syrup, soda, ginger and flour. Make it into stiff dough. Roll 1/8 inch thick and cut. Bake on greased tin at 375 degrees for about 8 minutes.

Diabetic Maple Cookies:

Mix ¾ c. biscuit mix, egg, D-Zerta chocolate or butterscotch pudding, oil, chopped dates and maple flavoring and form the mixture into small balls. Flatten with the bottom of a glass and bake on lightly greased cookie sheet for 8 minutes at 350 degrees.

Maple Walnut Cookies:

Mix dry ingredients like, wheat pastry flour, rolled oats, salt, soda and chopped roasted walnuts and wet ingredients like, corn oil, maple syrup, vanilla, rive vinegar and water. Drop the mixture on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.
