The Maple Syrup is a sweetener derived from the clear liquid called sap from the red or black maple trees. The maple syrup is a vicious amber colored liquid with its characteristic sweet taste and unique flavor. Usually the process of tapping the sap begins in the spring to make maple syrup. The maple producers more popularly known as the “sugarmakers “ extract the free flowing sap by piercing the tree and making a hole into the trunk of the tree. The hole is then blocked with spout or spile to catch the sap getting collected in the hole.
