Exploring Different Honey Varieties

Almost every country produces honey, each country has its main and special floral honey varieties and quality standards, but the leading honey-producing countries are the USA, Canada, Australia, Argentina, Mexico and China. Know more about its features.

Acacia

Pale yellow delicate taste from China and California.

Alfalfa

Mild, near-white, good body from Utah, Nevada and other Rocky Mountain states.

Alsike Clover

Mild, light-colored, often mixed with honey from white clover, used in northern states.

Basswood or Linden

Extra-white, with a slight bite when pure, often mixed with clover honey.

Black Locust

Extra-white, high quality honey.

Black Mangrove

Light with a thin body, slightly brackish taste, Florida .

Black Sage or Ball Sage

Distinct flavor, from California.

Blackberry

Reddish-brown or near-white in color, a bit more flavorful than clover honey.

Buckbush

Light-amber color with good flavor, called Coralberry in the eastern U.S.

Buckwheat

Purple to black in color; pronounced flavor.

Popular in the southwest U.S, white in color.
